Just Mustard have released a series of remixes for their recent, excellent single ‘Seven’.
The release sees Bristol noise producer Vessel and Cork electronic musician Trick Mist offering their interpretations of the track alongside and Just Mustard’s own rework. The result is three unforgiving mixes that adapt the heaviness of original release into searing spaces whilst maintaining Just Mustard’s trademark intensity. It’s definitely well worth a listen and serves to highlight the strength of Just Mustard’s songwriting even through different filters.
“For this release we were really interested in seeing how Seven would be reinterpreted by a different artist. We asked two of our favourite electronic music based artists to do a remix for us, Vessel and Trick Mist, particularly as they have a leniency towards experimental production.” say Just Mustard. “We couldn’t be more in love with what they did. We also did our own remix of sorts, grouping multiple audio channels from the track and running them out into various fx pedals and tape decks, then using those recordings as the source material for our mix.”
The band have also shared upcoming tour dates including performances at SXSW and Eurosonic.
