Limerick’s music scene goes ‘All In’ on a two-dayer at the Record Room

Mike McGrath-Bryan

After issuing an open call earlier this year for local artists, producers and collaborators, Rory Hall (aka producer Proper Micro N.V.) has announced the line-up for a specially-curated two-dayer happening in Limerick’s newly-resurgent Record Room venue at the end of the month. Featuring a diverse lineup of new-ish music from the Treaty City and its surrounds, the weekender is also peppered with appearances from local favourites, creating a solid overview of an always-developing and exciting creative community.

Among those appearing on Friday 29th are former Last Days of Death Country/Windings man King Pallas, playing live fresh off his recent debut, and the Wagwan bass-music collective, heading up a live lineup that also includes Kubb_, Tunnel Vision and Anthony Byrne, among others.

It’s the Saturday 30th lineup that’s loaded with names that may be familiar to this parish’s regular flock, however; Limerick hip-hop talisman Hazey follows his appearances at the Somewhere in Ireland gigs and videos, Tipp wordsmith Gavin DaVinci is sure to build on a burgeoning rep, the Prescription lads hold it down on decks, while Teletext Records sound-artist Rokaia contributes a live set, and dancehall Gaelgóir Ushmush makes a rare in-person appearance.

‘All In’ showcases new music from Limerick on Friday March 29th and Saturday March 30th at the Record Room. Tickets are on sale now from Eventbrite.ie.
