Last April, Galway born Elaine Mai released her debut EP Dots, a four-track collection of original tracks. Since then, Mai has been playing lots of shows, featured on Le Galaxie’s banger ‘Love System’ and even got on the cover of the Sunday Times Culture section a few weeks ago.
With gigs at Castlepalooza this weekend, Elaine has released a series of remixes of those EP songs from Adultrock, William Fakenamé (of Le Galaxie), Daithí, and further compounding her creative streak, a remix of her own tune by the lady herself.
Niall Byrne is the founder of the most-influential Irish music site Nialler9, where he has been writing about music since 2005.
