The band appeared on The Colbert Report last night and Colbert Nation had the full album stream of Embryonic up right after the show which is to the right, just click play. Below is the always funny Colbert interviewing Wayne Coyne from last night and the performance of ‘Convinced of the Hex’. [via]

holy Amon Duul II…real freaky 1970s Krautrock buzz off of this thing. It’s like the soft bulletin gone to seed on dangerous drugs.
great. I feel a vinyl buy coming on. Love the noise and spacey/electronic balance.
Yeh it doesn’t sound as overcompressed as War with the Mystics either. Some really nice atmospherics on it.
Im Likin this a lot, noisy and raucous, it could be from any era of the flamin lips back catalogue
it’s definitely a bit messier than their recent stuff.
The first track is really Silver Apples
It’s like the Soft Bulletin never happened
like the loosened up production ,deffinate velvet underground feel off this ,liking it a lot so far ,repeat listens will be the final tell ,cant see myself sticking it on all the time though, one of those time and place albums (like when your on mushrooms :D) ,
