Toby Kaar might have gone very quiet on the live front in the last while and while we wait for the Cork producer to produce tracks to the public that match his reputation in front of an audience, the man has turned his hand to his first remix of a band since last year.
Kaar turns the song, ‘Every Thief’, from We Cut Corners’ recent Think Nothing album into a slow-moving six-minute long mood piece punctuated by the lyrics “Every thief needs an alibi, I’ll be yours, will you be mine?,” goes the song, and Kaar’s production is complicit.
We Cut Corners play a headline show at The Academy tomorrow night with support from Jennifer Evans and Spies, and they will be joined on stage by Booka Brass Band who have sold out their own show on Friday night.
