Listening Post: Kant picks his favourite DJ tracks
Danish DJ and producer KANT has spent time in Ireland recently as part of Jagermeister’s Eishaus series. The Copenhagen man has gained fervent followers through his house and electronic jams. Below, he takes us through his record bag.
You played at Metropolis, Limerick, Dublin and Galwayon the Eishaus series? How did your Irish experience go? What can someone expect for your return?
Over the last two, years I’ve developed a strong friendship with the Irish audience and have played here more often than anywhere else. Always excited to come back! I actually never plan my sets, so you’ll have to come and hear yourself. But you can always be sure that I’ll road test some new & unreleased tracks of mine.
What’s your favourite track of your own right now?
Mostly it’s something unreleased or tracks I’m working on currently but I really enjoyed making the latest remix for Elderbrook x Andhim – How Many Times

It’s always a different one but in my recent sets I actually played a lot of my own (unreleased) material.
What’s your go to disco track?
Prince – I Wanna Be Your Lover
What’s your favourite remix of the year so far?
Disclosure – OMEN ft. Sam Smith (Jonas Rathsman Remix)

None in particular, but I always enjoy some good old school Jazz or Soul records to get the day started.
Who is an artist you can’t stop listening to?
Jamie XX
Your first vinyl purchase and what do you remember about it?
I have to admit that I’m a kid of the digital age and have not been into the whole vinyl game until now.
A song that’s always likely to get played when you DJ?
I have a (unreleased) secret weapon of mine which includes a famous sample of the movie “Godzilla” 😉
An old song you play at DJ sets regularly?
Scuba – Adrenaline

James Chatburn – Holiday love
