Kate Stanley Brennan has returned to the Miss Kate music project with new song ‘Get Me’, a wavvey bass banger with a beat courtesy of Mathman.
The video, premiering here today, was actually shot just before lockdown but ended up “in the graveyard of forgotten dreams,” so we’re delighted to be able to bring you the visual by graphic artist and Kate’s brother Johnny Brennan which was directed and produced by Kate Stanley Brennan (Deadly Films).
Johnny has worked on music videos for Calvin Harris , Kylie Minogue, Steve Lacy as well as Warehouse Project and RuPauls Drag Race to name a few, and the pair previously collaborated in 2019 for her self-penned show WALK FOR ME in the Project Arts Centre.
“Coming out of this madness- I’ve never felt more “in my head” and so the track suddenly felt more apt than ever – I think we are all fairly close to the edge right now- and in need of release- so It felt right to revisit it- also the beat was too sick to let it pass!”
The tune also features Donna Bissett and Linz on vocals, along with Miss Kate.
Miss Kate was most recently seen on stage acting in This Is Pop Baby’s recent run of the play Conversations After Sex by Mark O’Halloran.
