New RTÉ music show The Main Stage launches Friday night with Villagers, Lyra, Rejjie Snow, Cormac Begley & more

A new music show starts on RTÉ One this Friday July 1st for the next six Fridays in the summer.

The Main Stage is presented by R&B singer-songwriter Erica-Cody and The Coronas’ Danny O’Reilly and broadcasts at 9.35pm on Fridays.

The first programme features Lyra (‘Falling’), Rejjie Snow (‘Bye Polar’ / ’23’), Villagers (‘The First Day’), Cormac Begley, Mark Feehily and DJ John Gibbons, with live studio performances and interviews.


The Main Stage | Starts Friday 1st July | RTÉ One & RTÉ Player

Lyra and Mark Feehily of Westlife will perform a duet of ‘Easy On Me’ together, while concertina player Cormac Begley is joined by Stephanie Keane dancing.John Gibbons and Lyra close the show with a cover of Stevie Nicks’ eighties-anthem ‘Edge Of Seventeen’.

The Main Stage airs every Friday for 6 weeks from the 1st of July on RTÉ One.
The Main Stage will be available on-demand on RTÉ Player each week after broadcast.
