Other Voices announce new live stream series ‘Courage’ – kicks off this Thursday with Ye Vagabonds

Luke Sharkey

At long last, some good news!

Other Voices have announced a new streaming series called Courage.

The idea behind the new series is to capture a number of live performances with a view to help uplift and inspire viewers at home.

Courage will be a twice weekly series, kicking off this Thursday at 8pm with Ye Vagabonds and then taking place every Tuesday and Thursday from that point on.

While you can watch the performances live via Other Voices’ YouTube, Facebook and RTE.ie, the performances will also be broadcast on RTÉ2 every Thursday from the 7th of May.

Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan said the following on the OV’s new series – ““We know culture plays a hugely positive role in our collective wellbeing. The performances that will take place during the Courage programme are sure to raise plenty of spirits and can be enjoyed as people stay at home. It is in addition to the support that the Government is already providing to artists and those working in the arts and cultural sectors.”

While capturing live performances does require a small crew, OV have assured us that the strictest possible social distancing and general medical advice will be followed during the filming of these upcoming performances.
