Not content with a charity cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ ‘Iris’ and Copycat Killer, an orchestral EP of songs from her 2020 album Punisher, Phoebe Bridgers has released a Christmas cover today.
It is a cover of Merle Haggard’s ‘If We Make It Through December’, of which proceeds from sales and streams will go directly to Downtown Women’s Center, an organisation in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women.
The EP also comes with previously-released takes on ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Christmas Song’ and ‘Silent Night’ which features Fiona Apple and The National’s Matt Berninger.
