Photos: Le Galaxie @ Nialler9’s 8th Birthday, Olympia Theatre
Last Friday night, Le Galaxie headlined the sold-out Nialler9 8th Birthday celebrations in the Olympia Theatre with support from Young Wonder and some tunes in between by myself. It was a rare occasion – a late night gig in what is still the most magical venue in Dublin in December and it couldn’t have gone better.
Le Galaxie put on an amazing show that included Pony Dance dancers from, a serious lighting rig and a selection of new tunes from their forthcoming album including ‘Put The Chain On’, ‘Street Heart’, ‘Le Club’, ‘Who, us?’and brought out Elaine Mai and May Kay for vocals. It was a magical night, a triumph for the band and a memorable one for me.
Dave Sexton was on hand to capture the set in rich black and white. Also check out Ruth Medjber’s excellent set from the night.
