Premiere: Check out the vibrant debut from Jackie Beverly with ‘Out Of Reasons’

Luke Sharkey

Premiering on the site today is ‘Out Of Reasons’,  a fantastic debut track from new artist Jackie Beverly

The Dublin native brands her music as electro-folk, an apt description. ‘Out Of Reasons’ is flush with aspects of both genres.

The track owes a lot to an 80s synth-pop aesthetic, showcased most prominently in the lush synth stabs and killer vocal hooks throughout. The mix is vibrant and full of life, breathing in time to the song’s tempo.

The folk elements come into play in the thoughtful and visually evocative lyrics. Set in the dying embers of a failed relationship, Beverly takes the resolute stance of deciding to leave, carefully detailing the thought processes which help make up her mind.

It’s a fresh sound and a very welcome discovery. Stay tuned for more from Jackie Beverly in the near future.
