Earlier last week, it was reported that Justice had a mix rejected from the Fabric series. The reason seems to be because of its short length. The mix has been made available at Urb and is quite an eclectic one all-round. Recommended.

Thank Gawd that those clever people at Fabric had the good sense to reject this mix! This whole ‘ironic’ lets educate not entertain, throw in the most obscure rare groove lost forever nobody band from France in the ’60s crap is little more than emperors clothes. The Back to mine series suffered from just this tragedy. Let’s be thankful the fabric series is saved from this fate.
I wouldn’t serve this up as a podcast, let alone release it as a fabric mix if I’d just made it….
Who’s with me?
G
I’ll have to give it a listen before I yay or nay. It looks interesting though.
oh and cheers for blogrolling me.

Thanks for the tip, Niall. I’ll take it for what it’s worth.
Garvan: Don’t you think it’s other reasons for stopping the mix? Like clearing a whole bunch of old tracks for rights etc?
And that “lets educate not entertain, throw in the most obscure rare groove lost forever nobody band from France in the ’60s crap” thing you’re talking about was just done by James Murphy and Pat Mahoney on Fabric Live 36, quite successfully too
Well put Kalle, The James Murphy and Pat Mahoney Fabric Live 36 was a selection of great tracks new and old.
I would’ve much rather recieved this in the post than the typical boring M.A.N.D.Y. mix.
It would’ve made a change to here something on a Fabric CD that hasn’t been played to death in every club for the past 6 months.
Agreed on the MANDY mix. such tripe. I generally prefer the live series. The new Craze Fabric is really quite good.
Not a massive fan of the Craze mix to be honest. The First 12 minutes did nothing for me whatsoever. It’s the type of hip-hop that I really don’t like. The rest of it isn’t too bad except for the odd duff track like the Armand Van Helden one.
I wouldn’t say it’s a crap mix, just that I wouldn’t buy it. But I susbscribe so I’ll get the real thing next month anyway haha.
this is wicked, mkay…
