Rufus & Martha Wainwright to bring their ‘A Not So Silent Night’ Christmas show to the National Concert Hall

Luke Sharkey

It’s hardly Christmas weather right now, but the seasonal bookings are already rolling in.

Today, one of the most recognisable family names in modern music – Wainwright – is involved in a bit of a special announcement.

Rufus & Martha Wainwright will be bringing their Christmas themed ‘A Not So Silent Night’ show to the National Concert Hall on December 2nd & 3rd.

The show features the brother-sister duo plus a host of friends, including a full choir, performing Christmas classics & originals. It’s a tradition that began with their parents hosting annual shows of a similar ilk in the states.

Tickets for the gigs, from €40+, go on sale this Friday from the Concert Hall’s website.

Limited special experience tickets will also go on sale for the event, they will only be available to holders of regular tickets for the gig. These experiences include sitting in on an exclusive choir performance, being witness to soundcheck/run through and a full rehearsal. These special experience ticket sales all go toward funding the Kate McGarrigle fund & Stand Up To Cancer.
