As I enthused last week I’m New Here is Gil Scott-Heron’s first new album in 16 years and I described it as “a mix of spoken word, futuristic blues, dark-stained socio-political life and poetic ruminations. The man above still sounds as inspired and god-damn urgent as ever.” Amen.
