Super Furry Animals singer Gruff Rhys announces three Irish solo dates for his tour this December

The SFA musician’s new solo project comes out just ahead of his gig

Gruff Rhys has been announced to play Wheelans on the 9th of December as part of his Irish tour.

The gig announcement comes just before the release of his new album Pang!, which is out on the 13th of September.


Rhys’ music merges various musical influences from all over the world. His new album has Welsh musical influences fused with the Zulu language.  The new album has been mixed by South African electronic artist Muzi.

Gruff Rhys has added two other Irish dates, where he will be playing St.Luke’s in Cork on the 10th of December. The next day he heads on to Belfast where he will play Empire Music Hall.

Dublin tickets are priced at €25+. They go on sale tomorrow at 10 am and you can get them here.
