Temporary Pleasure are creating a club space in Dublin Port this summer

Avatar

After building a temporary club space in The Complex last September, and then announcing a book about Nightclub Architecture and Design, Temporary Pleasure has announced its exciting new plan for 2023.

To build a club space in Dublin Port.

This July, across two weekends, the Temporary Pleasure project will host four music & arts events against an industrial backdrop, in partnership with Dublin Port Company transforming “the former ‘pumphouse’ site into an ephemeral space to host events and performances in the heart of the working port for the first time.”

“Together with our workshop participants, we will create a site-specific installation to interpret and activate the site in collaboration with a program of local artists and collectives.”

An open call is to follow this week.

This project is being presented as part of Dublin Port Company’s ‘Connections’ program and supported by the Irish Arts Council, Dublin Port Company, the European Union’s Creative Europe Program, and sponsors.
