6. Waterstrider – ‘White Light’
Nate Salman’s new band get funky with guitars.
You might not know Waterstrider by name yet but you may have heard of the singer Nate Salman, who appeared on Les Sins’ ‘Why’ album last year. His new band, Oakland’s Waterstrider, has a more straight-up rock feel and the single ‘White Light’ has some funk rhythms that sounds more African than American, like Yeasayer when they first started out.
