The National set for Limerick, Cork and Belfast gigs
Dolans have announced that US indie rockers The National are the first act confirmed for the 2020 line-up of the Live at the Docklands series in Limerick.
The National will perform on June 7 as part of the series which was introduced earlier this year. Live at the Docklands saw Dolans creating its largest capacity venue in Limerick city and it is set to announce a full 2020 line-up soon. “Securing The National for Limerick is a major coup for us,” says promoter Neil Dolan. “We are looking forward to playing host to what is truly a phenomenal live act”.
Over 10,000 people attended the inaugural Live at the Docklands this year and the promoters plan to expand and develop the event further in the future. Dolan believes that “with good planning, programming and marketing we believe the Live at the Docklands concept has the potential to become an annual event that attracts significant audiences to Limerick from across the country and further afield”.
The band have also announced shows on June 6 in Belfast’s Botanic Gardens and June 7 in Cork’s Live at the Marquee.
Tickets for The National go on sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.
