It’s a little over a year now since the innovative experimental pop producer SOPHIE passed away at the age of 34 after an accidental fall in Athens in January 2021.
SOPHIE was a visible trans woman known for her work with PC Music, and produced big pop artists like Vince Staples, Kim Petras, Madonna and had a long-standing relationship with Charli XCX.
Her pioneering music straddled the avant-garde, big brash pop and experimental electronic and dance music.
On Friday April 29th, The Sugar Club will celebrate the life of SOPHIE and look at her legacy, at I Could Be Anything I Want: An Evening Celebrating Sophie with a screening of a short 20-minute documentary with a panel discussion, Q&A and DJ sets after Roo Honeychild, darkmavis and Wastefellow
Tickets are €15 for the whole night and €10 for the DJ sets.
