Two artists associated with Dundalk-based Pizza Pizza Records team up to release something great.
Electronic producer Trick Mist has given the closing track from Elephant’s excellent 88 LP the remix treatment.
‘All These Dragons’ is a reflective piece of electronica. This mid-tempo cut is held aloft by an offbeat hi-hat pattern, one of the few universal elements of an always evolving arrangement. Otherwise, layers are added or cut, giving the track a more progressive, hypnotic vibe.
There’s a touch of melancholy over the whole cut, emanating from the intersection between the underlying harmonic progression and the chopped vocal sample melody.
