Great night on Friday at State’s first North/South gig series in the Purty Loft, Monkstown. You already know how good Villagers are live (go see him on his tour next week if not) and his solo show is equally as captivating.
Band of the night for me though were And So I Watch You from Afar. After raving about their album on Friday, I can confirm these guys are every bit as good live, if not better. They play Upstairs in Whelan’s next Sunday, the 3rd of May, I urge you to go.
The next State night in The Purty Loft takes place this Friday, 1st May with Escape Act, The Rags and John Shelly and the Creatures. Click into the full post to see the videos.

Well done to everyone, I had a really fun night. The Purty Loft is lovely. ASIWYFA blew my mind.
