Two Irish artists with regular features on Nialler9 – Walshy and Curtisy have teamed up on a track that also serves as a teaser for both of the Dublin artists’ debut full-length projects.
‘mm mm good (in the cellar)’ features Curtisy rapping over a soulful-sample hip-hop beat flip by Walshy, who also sings the hook, a song that “treacherous realm of momentary pleasures and their long-term consequences.” It’s out now on Sleepover Club.
“Recording this track in the VIP room of The Workman’s Cellar gave the track the playfulness it needed,” says Walshy. “Curtisy is a treat to record with and I think the chemistry we had comes through on the song”.
The track features on the Nialler9 New Irish Music Playlist:
Walshy will launch his album at the Workman’s Cellar on Friday August 25th, with Curtisy, lowkick, domtavlor, Susy Good + more.
