The present & future of Cork city’s nightlife (Live Podcast)

Avatar

As part of our live Cork Podcast Festival show, we hosted a panel in The Kino in Cork City that examined the present and future of Cork nightlife with the players on the ground. Featuring Hope Alo (booker with Dali Cork), Jamie Behan ( Techno DJ, Producer & Resident DJ at Bastardo Electrico & Dali) and Senita Appiakorang (Shookrah, Points Of Intersection).

We discussed how licensing laws affect creativity, where is the Give Us The Night Cork campaign at, what is the possibilities of creative spaces being protected and valued? How does lack of venues impact the music scene and beyond? What are the challenges unique to Cork of running a venue? And we asked the panel “If you could implement one change right now for Cork nightlife, what would that be?”
Hosts are Andrea and Niall.
