Would you go see a hologram of Whitney Houston live in Dublin? Well now you have the chance

Luke Sharkey

Hologram tours, usually of artists who’ve passed away, are very much modern phenomena.

Tupac, Micheal Jackson and Elvis Presley have all received the hologram treatment – to varying levels of surrealness.

While we’re not really sure where we stand on the matter – it’s a touch too Black Mirror perhaps, some fans of pop icon Whitney Houston will be thrilled to hear that the Whitney Houston hologram tour is coming to Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre on March 3rd, 2020.

BASE Hologram, an LA-based company specialising in such tours, and director Fatima Robinson have teamed up to direct and choreograph Houston’s hologram tour.

The set will feature a host of live dancers, musicians and singers (not Houston obviously) plus a state of the art hologram display of Houston leading the show.

Tickets, no word on price just yet, go on sale this Friday from the Ticketmaster site.
