The Bray trio of Caoimhe Barry, Saoirse Duane and Karen Cowley aka Wyvern Lingo have been itching to get some new music out into the world, so much so that we gave you a live version of ‘The Worst Light’ back in June.
In the meantime, the band have been playing with the Hoze and by all accounts, went down a storm at Electric Picnic (video below). And now, I can give you a full preview of some of that new music in recorded form.
New song ‘Subside’ has a definite Fiona Apple feel to it, buoyed by a spacious bassline and jazzy rhythm. The girls’ melodic sensibility remain at the core of what they do. The single is released on Rubyworks on Friday 27th November. Tour dates around the release are below.
Tour dates
Thursday 12th McHughs – Belfast
Friday 13th Atlantic Sessions – PortStewart
Saturday 21st Shortts – Waterford
Sunday 22nd Dolans – Limerick
Thursday 26th Spirit Store – Dundalk
Friday 27th Kavanaghs Bar & Venue – Portlaoise
Saturday 28th Whelans – Dublin
