FRIDAY FEBRUARY 28TH

Urban Assault – Day 1 @ An Spailpín Fánach (6.30pm, €10)
Night one of the final Urban Assault event, with a suitably filthy metal lineup: Body Drinkers (incl. ex-I’ll Eat Your Face man Barrytron), Gealach, Sacrilegia, GOURD, Eternal Helcaraxe and Coscradh.

Alex Borstein and the Amstergang @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €20)
Family Guy/Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star and Emmy-winner brings her band of friends to Caroline Street for a musical comedy show.

Leah Sohotra @ Levis’ of Ballydehob (8pm, donations)
Blarney-based singer-songwriter continues her county-wide gigging in support of debut full-length ‘Breaded Crickets’.

The ACA @ Fred Zeppelin’s (8pm, €5)
Debut excursion from indie/soul Corkonians, with support from similarly new (to your writer’s ear) outfit Silicon Sibling.

Cataclysm @ The Kino (8pm, €8)
Techno collectives Fusion and Haywire come together for b2b sets from residents all night long at the former cinema.

EMMO @ Winthrop Avenue (8pm, €12.50)
Glanmire multi-instrumentalist headlines at the new venue in the Caroline Street complex.

The Frank and Walters @ Ballycotton Sea Church (8pm, SOLD OUT)
Part one of a sold-out opening weekend of the €2m venue in the former church at the East Cork seaside town.

FOXJAW @ DeBarra’s (8.30pm, free)
Limerick’s favourite folk-rockers/retired Bounty Hunters head out West to Clonakilty’s folk outpost.

Kevin Murphy @ PLUGD/The Roundy (8.30, €10)
Slow-Moving Clouds/Seti the First cellist heads upstairs in the Roundy to launch new solo album ‘The Emperor’s Lung’.

TABOO @ Dali (10pm, €12)
Chedder, Grillz and Stevie G’s regular Afrocentric residency at Dali celebrates its fourth anniversary, with special guest Deejay T helping mark the occasion.

Undergrooves @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €5)
Techno and house ’til close, with a free pint at the door. Xero, Jason Busteed and Reflux on duty.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 29TH

Urban Assault – Day 2 @ An Spailpín Fánach (2pm, €15)
The final chapter for Pethrophile Promotions, and a blow-out metal all-dayer that’s all-ages ’til 6, and teen-friendly ’til 9. The lineup: Everdead Wood, Rupturation, Lock Horns, Skypilot, Dog Tired, The Crawling, Aeternum Vale, AeSect, Legion of Wolves, Celtachor, Voices, and Zealot Cult.

Inhouse 2020 @ Shandon Guesthouse (6pm, €tbc)
A selection of live work from multidisciplinary artists based at Shandon’s art sanctum as part of the Inhouse 2020 project: sound-artist Molly Garvey and experimental musician Andy Ingamells are joined by Hanora George.

Blossoms @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €22)
UK indie band stop on Caroline Street as part of their Irish tour, following the release last month of third album ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’.

Bodies Do the Talking @ PLUGD/The Roundy (8pm, free)
A monthly excursion for resident DJs in the international electronic collective, upstairs on Castle Street.

Janus Rasmussen (Kiasmos) @ Dali (8pm, €12)
A live set from one-half of electronic outfits Kiasmos and Bloodgroup, with support from Bantum.

Lisa Hannigan (pictured) @ Ballycotton Sea Church (8pm, SOLD OUT)
A second sold-out night at the newest venue in the county, with the world-travelled songwriter.

Paul Dunworth @ Levis’ of Ballydehob (8.30pm, donations)
Songwriter launches new EP ‘Through a Forest’ with a full live band of West Cork faces at the village venue.

Cian Finn and Ras Tinny @ The Kino (9pm, €10)
A double-dose of Irish reggae at the Washington Street venue and cinema.

Crow Black Chicken @ Crane Lane Theatre (9.30pm, free)
Another Crane Lane excursion for the Cork/Clonmel blues power-trio.

Residents’ Night @ Dali (11pm, €7)
Darren Li and James O’Carroll on the honours, serving up techno and all manner of bass until close.

SUNDAY MARCH 1ST

Lisa Hannigan @ Ballycotton Sea Church (7pm, SOLD OUT)
Closing a sold-out debut weekend for the beachside 120-seater: a second evening gig from Hannigan and live collaborators.

Rianóir @ Maureen’s (7.30pm, free)
Ari Sheehan is a guitarist, composer, and luthier. Mick Hoey is a guitarist, fisherman and forager. Their original compositions for guitar are deeply inspired by nature.

Paul Dunworth @ DeBarra’s (8pm, €5)
Night two of a West Cork excursion for the veteran singer-songwriter and band.

LYRA @ Cyprus Avenue (8pm, €14)
Cork-born songstress headlines at Cyprus Avenue, off the back of a busy year that’s seen her signed to Universal.
