September 18th
The Mary Wallopers – Paddywhackery
Third album from the trad-rock band was recorded with James Skelly of The Coral. Lead single is ‘Crowns Of England’ and a big 3Arena date in December also announced.
Sarah Crean – Heirloom
Brighton-based Irish artist Sarah Crean’s second album Heirloom is entirely created by women and loosely based on the myth of Calypso, using that story to explore turmoil, life-altering change and the reconciliation that follows.
David Geraghty – Komorebi
Composer and multi-instrumentalist David Geraghty and founding member of Bell X1 also finds time to create albums of singer-songwriter synth pop music under his own name (and two under the name Join Me in the Pines) . Komorebi which, yes, has the same album title as another Irish album this month, has the lead single ‘Valentine’, and has some soul influence in it too.

Gurriers – Nobody’s Coming To Save You
Second album from the Dublin alt-rock band out via Play It Again Sam.
Gilla Band – Pugnello
The Dublin quartet’s new record is out Friday September 25th on Rough Trade Records, with intimate UK shows and a huge US/UK/EU tour to follow. Singles ‘Placeholder’ and ‘Giraffe’.
Morgana – The Whole Thing Was Very Emotional
Morgana MacIntyre co-founder of Saint Sister – has announced her long-awaited debut album.
Strange Boy – Say Nothing (rap / trad)
Second album from the Limerick personal rapper whose recent single features Rebel Phoenix.

Diveboy – In Orbit
Cork trio Diveboy’s new album is “a candid but bittersweet reflection on the transition period between youth and adulthood.”

KiiKO – KiiKO Forever
KiiKO is an electronic pop collaboration between Tokyo-born DJ Emmy Shigeta and Irish producer John McDowell (As Many as Possible).
Meryl Streek – Stories They Don’t Teach You At School
Dublin punk artist Meryl Streek has announced his third album which features Crass’ Steve Ignorant, Pete Holidai, Phil Jupitus, Gallows guitarist Laurent ‘Lags’ Barnard, Adebisi Shank’s Vinny McCreith, Meditations for The Anxious Mind’ Frankie McNamara and more.
The Wran – Stone Man
Comeragh Mountains trad-folk band with a punk edge release their debut album. The Wran’s second single is a version of Pecker Dunne traveller ballad. ‘Sullivan’s John’ builds with banjo, guitar delay and timpani into upbeat slip-jig ‘Hardiman the Fiddler’, a transition inspired by Jordan O’Leary (ex of The Scratch), with a banjo riff, punky bassline and distant flute.
Clare Sands – They Tried to Bury Us
‘They Tried To Bury Us’ is a collection of songs that gives voice to the silenced: the endangered curlew; Lí Ban of Lough Neagh; lost words of our native tongue; the Rostrevor oak; those seeking refuge on our shores and the Palestinian poets whose words embody defiance and inspire generations. All songs have a deep North of Ireland connection – the album was written across Ulster with an incredible array of musicians based in the Northern counties, alongside producer Seán Óg Graham (Beoga, Karen Casey). It is an album that rises from the earth against oppression and insists that love and hope will never be buried.
Trick Mist – A Shimmering
A Shimmering came out of experiments in what Gavin Murray calls abstract trad, digitally processing and expanding trad instruments and sean nós singing, and primal electronica, soundscapes that sound electronic but are made with acoustic instruments. Dan Walsh of Fixity and Niamh Dalton of Ana Palindrome both feature.

Driven Snow – Mother of Christ
Husband-and-wife duo Kieran McGuinness (Delorentos) and Emily Aylmer (Republic of Loose) release their second Driven Snow album of melodic folk indie pop songwriting. Mother of Christ explores the changing realities of family life. Written in the margins of busy lives, it is an album rooted in the everyday and shaped by the private world that Kieran and Emily have created together.

Fontaines D.C. – Dopamine Chamber
Dopamine Chamber – a play on the D.C. of the band’s name – arrives as the most potentially radical turn yet in a catalogue that has refused to repeat itself at every stage. Where Romance held its tension in balance, this record tips it. Cold synthesiser tones, marching drums, samples and triggers, several songs with no guitars at all, and the swooning strings of 1960s Italian pop pulled into something synthetic. Chatten spent time among the faded grandeur of Venice, Vienna and Sicily in search of lyrical inspiration. The album was made with James Ford between London, the English countryside and Palermo, where Chatten recorded vocals in a makeshift booth built from mattresses and cushions.
Arborist – Looking For Love
Belfast singer-songwriter Mark McCambridge’s new album is a love-letter to his home city of Belfast, which it acts as a microcosm of the wider-world, with all its foibles and charms.
Ash – 1977 30th Anniversary Edition
Originally released in 1996, 1977 is the #1 platinum-selling debut album that launched Ash from teenage upstarts to Britpop-era icons. This 30th Anniversary Edition celebrates the album that defined a generation with its breakneck energy, razor-sharp hooks and unforgettable anthems including ‘Girl From Mars,’, ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Kung Fu’ and ‘Oh Yeah’. The 30th Anniversary Edition will be available on 2LP EcoRecord Green & Black ‘InkPlosion’ vinyl in a Gatefold Sleeve, 2CD Digisleeve plus booklet, and digitally.
banríon – Untarnishing
Banríon, the solo project of songwriter Róisín Ní Haicéid following her transition from full band to solo artist, moves from indie-rock sound to a softer gentler tack, inspired by songwriting workships with Adrianne Lenker and Florist, as heard on ‘Roseland’.
chósta – harmony in solitude
The second album from Conor Kelly, the followup to the radio-themed Twilight Transmission, features the musician’s vocalist on it for the first time, adding a completely different indie shade to the more electronic-ambience of the debut. Written on a Juno 106 emulator synthesiser and a TR08 drum machine, and inspired by painter Yves Klein and the Michael Mann film Heat, and reconnected with his love of music in the process.
Christian Cohle – Queen of Ashes
Christian Cohle’s latest music as his third album approaches has moved from electronic textured songwritring to throwback heart-on-sleeve alternative art-rock with soft edges, taking cues from Talk Talk, Bowie and Roxy Music.
Francis Harris & Gareth Quinn Redmond – Eyes Bright and Low
A collaborative album between Irish ambient and fiddle player and new York musician Francis Harris combines analogue and digital synthesis with piano + guest vocals from Rachael Lavelle.
Jack Tiraquon – The World Overhead
Jack Hamill’s Space Dimension Controller Mikrosector-50 alter-egor Mr. 8040 concludes his trilogy of space saga albums Relocating to Amsterdam in 2024 and setting up a new studio, Hamill wrote the third installment of Mr. 8040’s saga, bringing the storyline – and himself – back to earth.

Ex O Emperor musician Paul Savage. From artistic frustration to social unrest, Whozyerman? examines absurdity and humanity with sharp satire and

Was Man – A View of Other Hills
Was Man is the solo project of Dublin musician Warren McCarthy, songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist of electronic folk band Let’s Set Sail. While his work with Let’s Set Sail is collaborative and often densely arranged, Was Man takes a more pared-back and raw approach, blending intimate songwriting with electronic production and folk influences.

Córas Trio – Birth Is Upon Me…
An album of improvised avant folk, electronic experimentation and Irish traditional music from the celebrated Belfast-based ensemble of Kevin McCullagh (fiddle and electronics), Paddy McKeown (guitar and electronics) and Conor McAuley (drums).

New Jackson – Live Ones
Live Ones is an LP compilation of refixes and remixes of older material and brand new tracks that have all featured in New Jackson live sets in recent years available on vinyl for the first time. It features contributions from Rory Sweeney and Rita Lynn and long-term collaborator Richie ‘Jape’ Egan. The sleeve features photography shot by Rich Gilligan shot at a New Jackson show at The Button Factory in Dublin. According to New Jackson himself ‘This started out as a way to put out new tracks and remixes of older stuff as quickfire digi releases without the pressure of making a cohesive body of work that normally comes with making an album yet ironically I feel this works better as a cohesive vinyl release then my last album proper and features some of my favourite music I’ve made.’
November 13th
Radie Peat – No Human Tongue Can Tell
The debut solo album from the Lankum singer and musician. The album gathers a collection of folk songs largely centred on female struggle, suffering, strength and endurance, alongside songs of love in all its complications, drawing on Peat’s powerful contralto voice and technical command as an interpreter of the folk tradition.
20th Century Paddy: The Songs of Shane MacGowan
Features Irish artists The Murder Capital, Madra Salach., Kingfishr, The Mary Wallopers, Camille O’Sullivan, Cronin, Liam Ó Maonlaím Lisa O’Neill, Moya Brennan, U2 and more.
Bell X1 – Good Bones
Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Phillips ready their ninth album. Pre-release single ‘Coughing Up Butterflies’ is a beaut and half the record is already streaming on Bandcamp.

Dublin-based experimental electronic artist releases a three-track project that sits somewhere between deconstructed club music, ambient, sound design and experimental pop, built around themes of self-erasure, emotional survival and transformation.
Swimmers Jackson – Komorebi
London-based Irish musician and singer Niall Jackson returns with his third solo album of indie-rock and pop on Wonky Karousel Records, recorded live with his band in the room of One Cat Studios in Crystal Palace by engineer Jon Clayton with some overdubs in Headford in Co. Galway to record some overdubs with Irish sound engineer Rob Cotter and a few special guests, Brian Kelly (So Cow) and Rob Corcoran. The album was produced by Jesse Gander (Japandroids) at his Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, BC. Influences include Elliott Smith, Low, R.E.M. , Phoenix, Tom Petty, Lou Barlow, The Shins, Neil Young, Pavement, Cass McCombs, Big Thief and Kurt Vile.
Miriam Ingram – Mariana Trench
Miriam Ingram is an experimental singer/songwriter from Dublin who last released a debut album Trampoline 20 years ago, and says this new one is a “lifetime in the making,” along with “a mesmerising blend of folk, impressionism and indie rock.”
MacDara Yeates – Mudlark Ballads
Irish folk singer has shared ‘Alexander’ from his second album, which is a doleful Irish love song in which a would-be suitor draws on mythology, scripture and ancient history in a desperate attempt to woo his love.
roe – ‘LOST DOG!
Derry-based songwriter roe releases a second album, the followup to a 2022 debut and featuring 9 songs “written across a year of grief, heartbreak and stubborn forward motion,” specifically the death of her dog.
Niall Vallely, Liz Knowles and Niwel Tsumbu – Sun Lines
The trio first came together for a Music Network tour in 2023, and the album brings Irish, Congolese and Scandinavian traditional music into conversation with classical, contemporary music and jazz.

Jayne Pomplas – This Is How The World Ends
Dublin-based fiddle player, vocalist and composer releases debut album. ‘Mother Superior’ is the lead single. The album balances original compositions with imaginative interpretations of traditional material, featuring collaborators including John Francis Flynn, Patrick Stefan, Luke Coffey, Graham Heaney, Jamie Bishop, Jaz Delorean, Adrian Crowley, Lunatraktors, Méabh McKenna, Robbie Reilly and RVE.
