I wouldn’t have had Ezra from Vampire Weekend down for a punk but he proves me wrong by ably joining Fucked Up during their 12-hour gig marathon in NY. Ezra joins the band for covers of ‘Someone’s Gonna Die’ by Blitz and ‘Parents’ by the Descendents.

Someone shouts ‘ You can call me Al ‘ at the start !
Ezra’s been a folkster, a rapper, a purveyor of afrobeat… a prep… he’s a renaissance man.
He’s very believable as a man whining about his parents though.
I thought when Fucked Up kept banging on about how much they loved Vampire Weekend on their blog, it was all just taking the piss. Apparently not. Who’d have thunk it?
Any chance of an mp3 of this to download this bizarre collaboration?
Oh yes please.
g’wan the weekend!
