Matter is the debut solo album from The Line, moniker of Meltybrains? member Brian Dillon (premiere)

The Meltybrains? member comes through with a solo project bathed in light of the Irish songwriting tradition.

Eager eared Irish music fans may have come across music from an artist called The Line over the past little while.

We featured single ‘Weight’ back in January. Today we’re absolutely delighted to share the premiere of The Line’s debut album Matter on the site.

For those not as of yet in the know, The Line is the new project from Meltybrains? member Brian Dillion, who has also worked with the likes of Loah and Lilla Vargen.

This solo project explores and unravels industrial sound palettes, usually mapped out over sparsely detailed near-contemporary classical arrangements.

Vocals, where they are featured, tend to flow through the colouring of an autotuner.

It’s an immersive, emotive body of work – best enjoyed with some quality headphones or surround sound speakers.
