As part of our coverage of this year’s Iceland Airwaves, we asked Aoife McCann aka Æ Mak to indulge us in an a field recording.
Soon after their show at the Irish KEXP showcase at Kex Hostel we crossed the coast road with Æ Mak, one camera and a few cans of local beer. Setting up in front of Mount Esja at a chilly time just before sunset, we recorded Aoife solo under Reykjavik’s pink sky.
