Arcade Fire, Beirut, Flying Lotus, PJ Harvey, Lykke Li & more for Electric Picnic 2011 lineup
Picileaks. It’s almost impossible to keep something under wraps when it comes festival lineups these days. Blame Facebook and Twitter and all that shizz. What’s bad for promoters is good for punters though and above, via Twitter in the last hour subsequently is the official lineup from the Electric Picnic website. Somebody shared a link they shouldn’t have and it’s too late now.
Of particular note to me personally: Flying Lotus, Beirut, PJ Harvey, Pulp, Lykke Li, Mogwai, Health, Adebisi Shank and lots more. It seems the decision to establish Oxegen as the pop/rock festival and Electric Picnic as the alternative one is an excellent one all-round.
Full copy and paste list after the jump but for now watch the video below.
Update: A few more names are on the official lineup: Sinead O’ Connor, The Cast Of Cheers, Micah P Hinson & Toots And The Maytals. Tickets are €240 for the weekend. Sunday tickets are €99. Both prices do not include fees.
I’m off to Austin for SXSW. Stay tuned for coverage of a gazillion bands next week. Later. In the meantime, what do you think?
