Arveene & Glen Brady release Strength In Numbers 001: Compilation

Avatar

Strength In Numbers 001 is a new compilation from pals, creative collaborators and DJ/producers Arveene & Glen Brady which serves as the opening gambit from Strength In Numbers, “an artist development platform, record label and music supply company”.

Established as a means of releasing and distributing music by its founders, SIN has quickly evolved into a space where like minded individuals can bring together musical ideas, artistic philosophies and visual elements in a developmental environment. From writing, engineering & producing original music to creating groundbreaking video content, SIN endeavors to present a unified artistic vision that is both diverse and forward thinking.

The Strength In Numbers 001 compilation came about from the collaborative nature of the pair along with the demos and tracks agared among pals.

Tracks that came across their path include songs from South African artist Spoek Mathambo, Wexford’s Sacred Animals, Andy Bell (Ride), Son Of Nowhere (Talos’ Alex Sampson in another guise), A Boy In Cords, Bon Voyage, Teishi-1, Glen Brady’s Def Nettle Project and Arveene’s hip-hop duo with Shamon Cassette as Bon Voyage.

The compilation is on Bandcamp now.

The main thing that seemed to unite these tracks and artists was that they were all looking for a good place to release from, not just a faceless label somewhere on the internet. All of these artists were looking for a home, a vibe, a place where they could be free to explore sonically and feel like they were being heard, not just listened to, but HEARD by a collective that respected and honored their creative input.

Strength In Numbers started doing club nights and show cases in Irish venues like The Sugar Club in Dublin & Connolly’s of Leap in Cork and there’s more of those parties on the way.
