Eight new acts have been announced for this year’s BBC Biggest Weekend in Belfast which takes place from May 25th to 26th.

Acts added include:

  • Young Fathers
  • The Breeders
  • Ash
  • First Aid Kit
  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Little Dragon
  • Goldie

They will be joined by Beck, Courtney Barnett, Manic Street Preachers and Public Service Broadcasting.

Four-weekend shows in four UK and NI cities of Perth (Scotland), Swansea (Wales), Coventry (England) and Belfast (Northern Ireland) from May 25 – 28th this year under The Biggest Weekend.

Tickets for Belfast go on sale on Monday February 12th at 10am and are available from Ticketmaster.

Beatyard have announced that Orbital will headline the festival on Sunday 5th August 2018 on Dun Laoghaire Harbour Dublin next year.

The brothers reunited earlier this year after announcing their split back in 2014.

Two for one Saturday and Sunday tickets priced at €50+ are available until December at The-Beatyard.com

Sunday day tickets go on sale on Tuesday at 9am.

Forbidden Fruit have announced that the reunited Orbital are playing the festival this year on the Saturday June 3rd.

That adds to the recent news that Bon Iver will curate and headline the Monday June 5th date along with Flying Lotus, The Staves, Lisa Hannigan, Gordi and Paul Thomas Saunders.


Day tickets go on sale next Monday Feb 6th at the first tier of €49.50 + fees.
Two Day Weekend (Sat 3rd & Sun 4th) – €99.50
Three Day (Sat 3rd, Sun 4th, Mon 5th) – €145.50
