BIMM introduces new Sinéad O’Connor scholarship, puts one student through full 4-year undergraduate course

The scholarship will take one lucky student and cover the tuition fees for a full four year undergraduate degree in Commercial Modern Music.

BIMM, the Dublin branch of the institution anyway, has today announced a brand new scholarship program.

The Sinéad O’Connor scholarship, which will be open to students applying for the academic year 2020/2021 onwards, will take one applicant (chosen by O’Connor personally) and cover the cost of a four-year undergraduate degree in Commercial Modern Music.

To apply, a prospective student must reach the qualifying criteria (LC points and successful audition) and be recommended for the program after their audition.

The applicant will then submit a video link to a performance and a personal statement, which will be considered by O’Connor.

Here’s O’Connor herself speaking on the scheme – “Am absolutely delighted to be involved with this scholarship and look forward to choosing the recipient. I thank BIMM very much for the Honour.”
