Fanning at Whelan’s returns for its sixth season this weekend on Saturday December 6th on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Play at 10pm.

The show in which broadcaster and music radio legend Dave Fanning presents performances and chats to Irish and international music guests is broadcast from the iconic Dublin venue Whelan’s.

The show is repeated at 11pm on December 11th on Virgin Media One and the first episode features Mike Scott on discovering lost Fisherman’s Blues tracks With performances from The Waterboys, Bold Love, KhakiKid, Nell Mescal and Amble.

The show runs for seven weeks in association with Guinness throughout December and January and music fans can also catch up on the series at any time by tuning in to Virgin Media Play.
