Dublin electronic musicians Gavin White and Mark Cummins aka White Collar Boy have their second EP out next week on Bodytonic. The SUUU / TIDE EP contains two original tracks from the pair that they’ve been playing live along with two remixes from Simon Bird and Frank B, which debuted back in July and has had a lot of ears including Matthew Dear who put the track on a recent mix.
The original tracks more than hold their own: ‘SUUU’ features vocals from frequent collaborator and live vocalist Gemma Dunlovely and is a slow rise and fall atmospheric and space-filled track while ‘Tide’ is a nuanced and understated dance rhythm with vocodered vocals that will get under your skin. The EP gets an official launch this Saturday at Twisted Pepper’s Fifth Birthday.
