Gonzales' Pianist Envy mixtape

Gonzales Amazing mixtape from Gonzales who is now calling himself Chilly Gonzales. The entire thing is made up of piano remixes of songs like ‘A Milli’ by Lil Wayne, ‘Single Ladies’ by Beyonce, ‘Rollin’ and Scratchin’ by Daft Punk and ‘Grindin’ by Clipse. It’s a deconstructive/ reconstructive mixtape of sorts.

It’s called Pianist Envy and it’s oddly brilliant. Gonzales is currently doing a series of “Piano Talk Shows” in Joe’s Pub in NYC where he is joined by people like Sia, A-Trak, Andrew WK and Princess Superstar. It should come as no surprise after all, this is the man who set the world record for longest solo performance clocking in at 27 hours, three minutes and 44 seconds at Paris’s Ciné 13 Théâtre last year. He recently joined Marina and the Diamonds in Estonia for this performance.
