Prima Volta is a special music weekender taking place from October 3rd to 5th in Limerick in conjunction with the Limerick City of Culture 2014.
Put together by the promoters, musicians and producers of the city, the weekender will feature showcases of electronic labels, DJs and producers, along with screenings.
The likes of Ninja Tune’s Illum Sphere, Eglo Records’ Fatima and Alexander Nut, Alpha Pup Records’ Daddy Kev, Brainfeeder’s Kutmah, Hoya Hoya’s Jonny Dub, Jon K, Swamp 81/Hessle Audio MC Chunky, LeFto, Sam Binga and more are lined up to play.
There’s also a screening of the Low End Theory documentary Looking For The Perfect Beat featuring Gaslamp Killer, Ras G and Flying Lotus, Q&A with director Daddy Kev as well as visuals by Slipdraft. Irish acts include Bap To The Future , Peter Curtin, mynameisjOhn and Deviant & Naive Ted
