I love it when a fully formed artist pops up on my radar. Computer Magic, the solo project of Brooklynite Danielle Johnson (or Danz) has been quietly filing quality tunes on Soundcloud over the last six months. There are 13 high quality songs on her there synth-driven breezy pop numbers – certainly enough for an excellent first album. What strikes you is how complete each song is – certainly impressive when you are told she has been DJing for a few years, never tried to write music before until recently, downloaded Ableton and came up with this goodness.
