Loose Joints: talking the soundtrack of DJ Marcus O’Laoire’s life, AKA “the nicest guy in Europe”
Loose Joints is a podcast where we talk to a guest and play music they like new and old. True to the name, the podcast features a loose collection of tunes, tied together by very little logic, just like our chats. Nialler9 and Sally Cinnamon are your hosts.
For our latest episode, we are joined by DJ and sometime comedian and chef Marcus O’Laoire, who Sally deems “the nicest guy in Europe” about dropping ambient electronic music for the techno kids, how to make people happy on the dancefloor when DJing at the end of the night, what dog Marcus could be if Marcus could be a dog, the generation gap in clubs that may mean Kylie’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ is a new song for some younger people along with the actual vinyl format and the song that reminds him of his “missus”.
Marcus is playing an all-night set at District 8 on Saturday October 27th and he runs the new student night on Monday in Tramline called Hijinks.
He’s also the host of In The Shower podcast with his partner Taz and you can follow him on Instagram.
Also available in Stitcher, PocketCasts and TuneIn.
