The Amsterdam-based Irish producer Kobina and the Limerick rapper MuRli have teamed up for a new project called Ra Gerra.
There is a full-length album on the way in 2021 and the pair have dropped the project’s debut single ‘Terrified’.
Melding the melodic textured electronic production of the former with the emotive words of the latter, ‘Terrified’ is somewhere between ambient cloud rap and R&B in tone and addresses how fear can affect your personal life.
Kobina says of the track: “Terrified was one of the last songs we put together for the album. I wanted to recreate that feeling fear gives you, like headlights on a highway, barrelling towards you. Out of fear there is always hope, and I wanted to make sure the music still had this in its fabric.”
