The appearance of new material from White Denim last week was unexpected but very welcome around these parts. The new tune ‘Mirrored and Reverse’ is taken from the band’s forthcoming second LP Fits (out June 22nd on Full-Time Hobby) and sounds much tighter, cleaner and bluesy than anything off Workout Holiday. It still has a garage-jam feel to it especially thanks to the fade-out and fade-in towards the end.
The NME has heard Fits and says:
From the MC5 freakout at the start onwards it’s a jazz-rock-psych splurge of ideas cemented together by some monumentally heavy riffs.
