New music from Jeremy Hickey aka Rarely Seen Above Ground is always welcome around these parts.
The Kilkenny multi-instrumentalist, drummer and singer last tracks ‘I’ll Be There’ was a moody shape-shifter and ‘Don’t Move So Fast’ had a Suicide-esque groove. This new song ‘Leave A Light On’, further pushes his palette in new directions.
A production collage of brass, vocals, buzzing synth and guitar set to Hickey’s ever present effervescent percussive chops, the song is officially released tomorrow Friday April 29th and trails his forthcoming third album. Producers Leo Pearson and James Darkin helped out on his latest tracks.
