Malahide Castle in North County Dublin is hosting another series of major outdoor concerts this summer, with a lineup that includes Nick Cave, Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, Michael Bublé, Kodaline, Maroon 5, Teddy Swims and Kingfishr. Here’s all the essential information.

Monday to Thursday shows: Gates 5pm / Show starts 6pm.

What is the site layout?
The site map will be published closer to the events at mcd.ie. Pedestrians will only be permitted into the grounds via Hogans Gate (near the DART station). No entry through any other park gate.

Do the bars and food vendors take cash / card?
All venue bars are cashless – contactless card payment only. Food vendors accept both card and cash.
Reusable cups?
A reusable cup scheme is in place for beer, stout and cider across all concerts. A €2 refundable deposit is added to the first drink purchased from Heineken Bars. The deposit carries over with each drink and is refunded when the cup is returned to designated return stations at the end of each bar.
What can I bring in with me?
Not permitted: bags over A4 size, chairs of any kind, animals (other than registered working dogs), glass and cans, umbrellas, selfie sticks, alcohol or illegal substances, drones, flares/fireworks/laser pens, aerosols, megaphones/air horns, professional cameras with detachable lenses, video or audio recording equipment, or any item that could be a weapon or pose a hazard.

Water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles up to 500ml are permitted. Empty reusable plastic bottles are permitted. Drinking water points are on site.
Transport – how to get there?
Plan and book return travel in advance, allowing at least an extra three hours. Traffic and parking delays are inevitable – walk, cycle or use public transport where possible.
DART: Malahide DART Station is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the arena entrance. Trains run directly from Connolly, Tara Street, Pearse and Grand Canal Dock. Visit irishrail.ie.
Dublin Bus: Route 32 from Talbot Street to Malahide. Route 42 from Talbot Street towards Portmarnock. Visit dublinbus.ie.
Go-Ahead: Route 102 from Sutton to Swords via Malahide. Visit goaheadireland.ie.
Concert Express Bus: Marathon Coaches run services from Dublin city centre to Malahide, with routes from Balbriggan, Rush, Lusk, Blessington, Naas, Drogheda, Maynooth, Celbridge, Leixlip, Enfield and Bettystown. Car: Concert car parking is available at Malahide Castle. Book in advance via the Evntz app at evntz.ie. Do not park illegally in surrounding areas – clamping and towing in operation.
Private buses: Coach, bus and minibus parking available within the grounds via Back Road. Register in advance by emailing [email protected].
There is a strict no-alcohol policy on all transport travelling to the venue.
Where is the box office for tickets / guestlist?
Ticketmaster box offices and guestlist facilities are located opposite the arena entrance.
Download your ticket before arriving on site. Use the Ticketmaster app – screenshots will not be accepted as barcodes are live and updating. Use the Ticketmaster transfer option if arriving separately from your group.
What’s the age policy?
Under 16s must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over 25, who takes full responsibility and remains with them throughout the event. Unaccompanied under 16s will be refused entry without refund. All attendees including under 16s require a ticket.
Acceptable ID for Challenge 21 alcohol purchases: Passport, Driving Licence, Garda Age Card.
Acceptable ID for under 18s: School or College ID plus a colour copy of a valid passport.
What else do I need to know?
No re-admission to any of these events. No overnight or early queuing permitted.
Dress appropriately for Irish weather and check the forecast before you arrive. Stay hydrated, eat throughout the day, charge your phone and bring a battery pack.
There is no re-entry. Please respect local residents – no littering, anti-social behaviour or illegal parking.
An Garda Síochána operates a zero tolerance policy on anti-social behaviour, on-street drinking and public urination. Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused admission without refund.
There may be strobe lighting, lasers and pyrotechnics at these events.
