11. Laura Groves – ‘Dream Story’
The English singer recalls Julia Holter and old-school soul pop.
Laura Groves’ did a wonderful job last year covering Paul McCartney’s ‘Waterfalls’. She also provided vocals on Bullion’s Nautic project’s track ‘Fresh Eyes’ before that.
On her new track ‘Dream Story’, from her Committed Language EP, out on DEEK on February 16th, she shows off her talent once again with a lo-fi swaying track that reminds me of Julia Holter as well as some old-school soul pop. Groves’ voice makes this a memorable one.
