Initially I was a bit skeptical about Trust’s music (that’s been happening a lot lately). The drummer from Austra in another band that sounds a lot like Austra with a guy singing instead? But I saw the duo of Maya Postepski and Robert Alfons play at SXSW and the songs were good (yes, they did sound a lot like Austra in fairness). ‘Sulk’ was my way in, a propulsive sickeningly-euphoric club goth track with a video that reinforces that feeling. I’ve yet to check out the Toronto duo’s album on Arts & Crafts but this newly released video is my reminder to do so. Luckily, the label put it up on Soundcloud so we can all hear it after the jump…
