Watch Lankum play ‘The Pride Of Petravore’ live from Vicar Street featuring Spider Stacy
For many people, the Lankum gigs in Vicar Street in January would have been the best of the year, with or without a pandemic shutting down every venue in the land.
Now, the band, fresh from their unique A National Disgrace show at the Abbey Theatre, have shared a video of the live performance of ‘The Pride Of Petravore’ from that stage featuring The Pogues’ Spider Stacey playing with them.
The original is on their Choice Prize winning album A Livelong Day.
The video is animated by Marry Waterson on hand-painted 16 mm Cine film, using footage and photos from the Vicar Street gigs.
Listen to a review of the album on the Nialler9 Podcast.
