Now in its fifth year, Quarter Block Party returns to Cork this February 8th-10th and this year’s event is set to be bigger than ever.
The festival fosters new audiences and strong community bonds via a diverse arts programme with a spotlight on music and theatre. Originally centred in the city’s Historic quarter around North and South Main streets, the 2019 edition will expand across the city with over 130 artists performing in venues such as Plugd at The Roundy, St. Peter’s, Coughlan’s Bar, An Spáilpín Fánach and streets and shops in-between.
The event is not limited to music with theatre, dance, and public art events also on the bill featuring both Irish and International acts.
The music line up so far includes Le Boom, Hilary Woods, Landless, Anna Mieke, Ghostking is Dead, Junior Brother, Shookrah, Kneecap, Laurie Shaw and more.
