• Ultan Conlon @ Coughlan’s (9pm, €12.50)
  Irish singer-songwriter comes home to promote a new record after comprehensive gigging in the U.S.
• Coalition @ Dali (10pm, €10)
  A night of bass music of all styles, with Mark dB, Jonezy and more at the wheels of mechanised steel.
• The Big Lovin’ @ DeBarra’s (10.30pm, free)
  West Cork funk-pop machine return to Clonakilty’s famous music outpost.
• Glacier Gang and Good Music @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €8)
  Invader Slim, Jesse Finessin’ and Rolliedonediddit join Stevie G, Gadget and the Cloud and other Good Music residents for a pre-Paddy’s blowout.

SATURDAY MARCH 16TH

• Wild Youth @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €17.50)
  Irish pop-rockers follow up big-arena support slots and Spotify Viral charting with a headlining jaunt around the country, including a stop at Caroline Street.
• Fish Go Deep @ Connolly’s of Leap (8pm, €15)
  Connolly’s of Leap uncloses for the Paddy’s weekend with a special trip out West for Greg and Shane. Get a look at the work the venue is undergoing!
• Scullion @ Live at St. Luke’s (8pm, €24)
  Irish folk trailblazers continue their comeback with a special gig as part of St. Luke’s trad weekender.
• Irish Music By Irish People @ O’Sho (9pm, free)
  Allchival/Quare Groove man John Byrne digs deep into his labyrinthine archive of Irish records, from the seventies through to today, for night one of a two-night sojourn behind the decks on Barrack Street.
• Pontious Pilate and the Naildrivers @ Crane Lane Theatre (9pm, free)
  Long-running Leeside ska flag-bearers finally launch their debut E.P. of original material after nearly two decades of heavy gigging.
• Svet Kant, Grey Stag, Sixth Extinction and more @ Fred Zeppelin’s (9pm, €5)
  A huge night of metal for the red room upstairs on Parliament Street, including alt-metallers Svet Kant headlining, and appearances from Mammothfest Band Battle faves Grey Stag, among many others.

  Choice Prize-nominated trad supergroup sets up at the back room of Coughlan’s for a special Paddy’s Day session.
• Billy Harrison’s Them @ Crane Lane Theatre (7.30pm, free)
  Legendary RnB guitarist and hitmaker Billy Harrison and collaborators celebrate the legacy of Belfast blues trailblazers Them.
• Lankum + Jimmy Crowley @ Live at St. Luke’s (7.30pm, €25)
  A very special night for Irish traditional music as modern genre exponents Lankum finally meet a longtime influence in Corkonian song collector Jimmy Crowley, whose rendition of wartime ditty ‘Salonika’ informed the standout arrangement on Lankum’s debut album.
